2012 movies coming soon
The year 2012 will mark one big events in the history of the world: the Mayan prophecy of 2012 end of the world. You already can find all kinds of sites popping up but it’s Hollywood that will make the money since they are selling the end of the world disaster angle of the prophecy.
Movies
You see, the studios already have many 2012 movies planned. In fact, one of the major 2012 movie will be release in 2009. After that, you should expect a stream of movies related to 2012.
I don’t mind it since we had the same kind of thing happened when the year 2000 was at our doors. In 1999, Hollywood studios only made 2 major movies. All other movies about the year 2000 were made before that.
Television
This days, the television studios don’t really give a chance for a new series to get a following. On that note, they could start thinking in a limited TV series of 1 season with the last episode on December 21, 2012.
The 21 episodes series could start in Winter 2012(10 episode), stop for the Summer and restart in the Fall(11) to end in December 2012. It could have a rerun in the Summer to get new viewers and create momentum for the second part in the Fall.
If they want to start sooner like in 2011, I would not mind.
The story
Since I don’t know what is the gender of the main character, I will use person.
With an aliens or a secret organization, you can have human experiments done by both to control behaviors. It could be done with genetics, drugs, video or music. Of course, aliens have more powerful technologies and they could take the series a notch higher.
First Part: A person discover a conspiracy to take over the world by aliens or a secret organization. The person is framed for a terrorist attack by their agents thus can’t ask for the police help. A FBI task force is pursuing the person. On their way they must find proof, convince others and find allies.
Second Part: A resistance movement is started to help the person against the aliens or secret organization.
Possible story lines for episodes:
- The person take over a television station
- The person find a few pages of prophecies that was written 800 years ago to guide him
- A gang of biker are terrorizing a small town
- People are getting missing on a stretch of highways
- The person get help from a older couple after being shot
- After an explosion, the person wake up to find that he failed
- The person is helped by a few enemy agents
Conclusion
I don’t want to steal work from writer so I don’t want to give them more ideas.
On December 22, 2012, they could release a Blu-Ray boxset with a few alternate endings and unrated episodes if it’s a big network who aired it. It would be on a Saturday.
