FIRST - This is not a a paid review. I received no compensation nor discount for this product. I bought it, I tried it, I liked it, I rated it here.
In August of 2016 I had a brain fart, "lets buy the boys guitars for Christmas" . We have 7 Grand-kids. the 4 boys came first, then 2 sweet little girls, and one still in the oven.
I decided to buy one of these kits just to see if they were any good. WOW was I impressed. I have several guitars and I have play professionally ( and on worship tams for free) so I know what I want a guitar to sound like and feel like and play like.
These knock off Stratacasters were just the ticket. After getting the first test guitar set up and tuned and after playing it for about an hour ( I like to play when the guitar is in tune) I ordered 2 more of these kits (2 blue, 1 green per the boys preference) and one junior kit for the youngest boy > RED Junior Kids Mini 3/4 Electric Guitar Amp Starter Pack, Guitar, Tremolo, Amplifier,... 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for beginners - 10 watt amp!!, December 31, 2017

Customer Video Review Length:: 1:38 Mins

Great for the price! This is great for a beginner and you will have to tune it comes with a 10 watt amp which I felt was great, b/c I read the 5 watt ones were not as good at all. (a 5 watt is typical for most cheaper beginner set ups, so the 10 watt really sold me - a 5 watt can sound patchy. screeches, or just not as good) - I feel as if this sounds great. I included a video of my son playing with it (please know he's a first time user, but you can get an idea of the size and sound) - So far we have not had any issues with screws falling out, though I read someone got a defective one. That review has helped me to keep an eye on that part. I did get a defective refurbished item from another seller entirely, but I will give them a chance on refunding, exchanging, etc. Sometimes things are defective & it happens. I don't feel that is the norm for this guitar though. Any company should exchange or refund in those cases. My son is... Read more

This review is from: Full Size Blue Electric Guitar with Amp, Case and Accessories Pack Beginner Starter Package (Electronics)
If you want a poorly made guitar and amp to start playing guitar, this is it. For someone just starting out, this could be the ideal way, and cheapest way, to get everything you need to start learning to play. You get what you pay for. The tuning pegs are not the smoothest and can be difficult for beginners. The nut is poorly cut. The first two frets needed to be filed down because of sharp edges. The Tone controls on the one I purchased, did not work. The amp is terrible. It makes noise, but at least you can practice with it. If you know someone who can help you set up the guitar, as well as it can be, that would be wise. Overall, it does what it needs to do. You can practice and learn how to play guitar, but it won't be to long before you will want a better guitar/amp setup. When you do have to change strings, don't use the extra ones that was sent in the package. Go get some quality strings, it will sound better. If you really know you plan on playing the guitar for a long time,... Read more
